JUNE 2010 WEDNESDAY JUNE 30, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) We talked to Doug Brode earlier. Check out www.YellowRoseGraphic Novel.com to see his latest work, or order it for a good price from Amazon here. The show will replay on the stream until tonight's, and you can download it at MyStreamingServer.com Are there plans to evacuate the gulf coast? Matt Simmons, founder of an oil investment thinks so. Word is California's already been informed of them. But the Obama administration wastes no time in pushing for "green energy"-- in Abu Dhabi. Another meeting will be here next month. Biden meanwhile announces a Gulf food safety plan-- close call, I thought it was HIS plan, turns out he's just announcing one from people who might have a hope of knowing what they're doing-- maybe, probably not. The Czech Military is coming to Texas to help the National Guard establish a Chemical Warfare Unit in the lone star state. I don't make 'em up. From the 'told ya so' department, now that the government has taken over student loans, they're looking into whether the should give them to 'for profit schools'. Of course they should-- but they shouldn't give them to predators. If you're out of work and thinking of retraining-- check very carefully before you enroll anywhere. Determine they're accredited to deliver what they're promising and then check with employers to make sure you'll be needed. Princeton's Paul Krugman says we're headed for another depression. He's right, however his idea-- that an austerity plan will take us there, is only correct in that it will be more speedy. We won't avoid this no matter what. The question for the rest of the year is slowdown-- or double dip. More bad news: UN pushing for abandoning the dollar..... for the IMF global currency. So there you are at 40,000 feet and the cockpit window shatters. Turns out it happens somewhat regularly, and the government and airlines know it... and have done nothing about it. Worse yet, it's all because of a loose screw. Seems to me the regulators have a screw loose not to fix this. You'll love the part about arcing. TUESDAY JUNE 29, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Always good to talk with Steve Kates, Dr. Sky. If you'd like to email him directly, click here. If you missed the show you can download it at MyStreamingServer.com or catch it on the stream until tonight's show. Don't miss his DrSky.com or PhotoRecon.net or ClassicWarBirds.net and apropos to the supreme court decision, CallToRights.com... speaking of that: Great news from the highest court--the 2nd Amendment survives! The majority opinion is it says... what it says. That strikes down the Chicago gun ban-- but not necessarily every gun law. The point of this case was whether the federal protection (affirmed a few years ago in Heller vs DC) extends to states and municipalities. Alito, Roberts, Thomas, Kennedy & Scalia think so and that's enough. Sotomayor, Stevens, Ginsburg & Breyer disagree-- as you'd expect. It's a great ruling but too close for comfort. All the reason not to confirm the dreaded Elena Kagan. Obama can shut down the internet for 4 months without consulting anyone-- well he always could, but now this legislation working its way to the Senate floor will let him do it legally. Not good. Not good at all. The gulf spill is making a lot of people sick. Will it make beach towns uninhabitable? This don't look good in MIssissippi-- and all their cleanup crew is in Louisiana. And people in Panama City are vomiting, and worse. So Obamacare passes.. but can the administration meet the deadlines? They've missed some already. No extended unemployment benefits... which is very bad considering no jobs, even Biden says so. Biden was a bit miffed when told point blank, lower taxes. Looks like Joe the plumber has competition from Scott the custard king. Ben Bernanke wants another stimulus... is he kidding? All that can possibly do is delay the inevitable.. which maybe is exactly what he's trying to do..... That Mexican teen shot by border patrol? 4 arrests in his young life for smuggling. SATURDAY JUNE 26, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Trivia answers and Bumper Stumpers are up under Trivia and Music to your left. Have an enjoyable weekend. I'll be back to depress you with the spectre of Cap & Trade, Gulf Oil and plenty more Monday night at 7 (PT). But if you haven't read the police transcript of Al Gore's accuser yet, it's a delight. My favorite lines, of course, were the charges of "crazed sex poodle" and "you lummox". It's on the links page, also to your left. FRIDAY JUNE 25, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Trivia tonight, 3 big hours. Starting at 7 PM. Do call. Apologies for not doing links for a few days. Never mind why, we've got a lot to cover: Harry Reid is trying to stick cap & trade, that no one sane likes, onto a bill for new restrictions on offshore drilling, that most Americans favor. Hopefully he won't get away with this. If Americans understood that BP happened because they didn't follow the regulations already on the books. Obama gave them a pass. Here's why. Rahm Emanuel thinks that the BP mess will help the democrats. Here's his incredible logic. Two people in the Gulf cleanup effort have died. Non toxic, huh? Here's what the workers are facing (including not being paid). Here's a suicide over the BP mess. BP says they can't determine exactly how much oil is spilling? Read this. Meanwhile the containment cap was taken off, that's here. And here's what's happening to wildlife. Jack McLamb has an interesting conspiracy. And here's what the EPA promised (and what they haven't done). And those oil plumes BP says aren't theirs? NOAA knows they are. Oil? Venezuela is nationalizing 12 U.S. oil rigs. The outrage about Obama telling Senator Jon Kyl that he won't consider securing the border until illegals get amnesty, otherwise the Amerircan people won't accept it? Turns out Obama said it awhile ago too. Some Senators including Chuck Grassley have written to Obama warning him not to think of legalizing the illegals through presidential fiat. Yes there might be a way to do this. Mexico joins the justice department's suit against Arizona's immigration law. Speaking of Arizona immigration laws, they've put forth legislation to stop conferring citizenship on babies of illegals. I'm for it, but this guy has a good point-- why aren't we going after the employers. Here's why. Unacceptable. But employers need not feel too comfortable-- and you won't either, with this. The labor department has put out PSAs asking illegals to rat out employers not paying them enough. As bad as it sounds, if they do it, that's going to make their employment less attractive. But still, the idea that we don't care that you're breaking our laws, we'll still help you, is nauseating. And it's so bad on the border, that 3500 acres of US park lands are off limits to US citizens, lest they be shot by Mexican drug cartels. But there might be good news in the grass roots movement. Here's a town that just passed legislation cracking down on illegals. Also good news, a sanctuary city for illegals, Maywood, is dismantling itself. And Pelosi asks for donations-- to fend off lawsuits should the Republicans take control of congress. What does she know? And what did McChrystal know? He's too savvy not to know he wouldn't be asked to leave-- so you've got to figure he wanted to go, but why? Could it be what Germany just announced? Here that is. What will McChrystal do next? Here's a guess. Here's the whole Rollingstone article that caused all the hoopla. First time homebuyers get government money-- funny that a bunch of them are in prison. Here's what the IRS caught. New home sales without the rebate-- plummeting. Foreign news-- fluoride crippling indian children but the government says no need to test the water. Germans will pay a monthly tax for having a television set-- even if they don't have a television set-- to support public broadcasting, every household will be taxed. Excellent news-- judge sides with YouTube against Viacom. No question there is copyright violation, but YouTube is not responsible and reacts each time it has notice. Side with Viacom, that's the end of YouTube, and every similar site. Here's the story. North Carolina is going after your online purchases to get your sales tax. Problem is, they're finding out what you buy. Here' s why it matters. Bernie Sanders is up to no good-- he wants your money if you've got a lot of it. If you don't, you might want to consider one of America's most recession proof cities. Sex ed? You don't expect teachers to use stuffed animals to simulate sex positions. This is for openers. Want to laugh? Unicorn Meat! (I don't blame the pork board, they have to go after copyright protection even in fictitious cases, but it's still funny.) This is too-- Al Gore, the sex poodle. The woman has credibility problems about why she's bringing it forth, but I don't doubt a word of it. (Link to full police transcript in the story.) Here's Jon Voight's open letter to Obama. The GOP may boycott the Kagan hearings. That's both good and bad. The woman is a danger-- how much, who knows? She argues for keeping secrecy in most cases. We talk a lot about the bad economy. But often we forget the many services that fall under the radar-- like the Bakersfield Recover Services, an organization in Kern county that's ben helping those with addiction problems since 1984. In '95, they opened the women's center which not only helps women on the road to sobriety but is instrumental in reuniting mothers with their children. They do a terrific job of not only helping people get it together, but also to help them find jobs and become independent of government services. The problem is that funding is rapidly drying up and without help, they'll close. I've asked them to get some kind of a website up for donations, but in the meantime, if you're inclined, they'd be tremendously appreciative: Bakersfield Recovery Services, Attn: Jennie Bell, Box 3218, Bakersfield, CA 92385. Or call them at 661-325-8510 Thanks! TUESDAY JUNE 21, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) How organized is the government? You judge: Obama has ordered agencies not to.... pay dead people. And these are the folks who will be handling our healthcare? Think the watered down energy bill won't include cap & trade? Obama plans to add it later. He's committed to sticking us with it. Rahm Emanuel may quit. He's tired of the growing idealism of Obama's inner circle... or does it have to do with his tie-in to the Blagojevech mess? Emails have surfaced. Latest in the Blago trial. Tapes of "give us the f-ing money". More proof Maryland is a police state; another woman arrested for recording cops publicly interacting with citizens. They grabbed her cell phone and charges are being pressed. This is outrageous. What do the police have to hide?! Whatever it is, they shouldn't be allowed to do anything "privately". Homeland Security chief Napolitano says we must balance our liberties with our security needs. This is beyond ominous. Thousands of cameras in Great Britain but now a few hundred will have plastic bags over them. Why? Because they were used for... anti terrorism purposes. Wait, isn't that what they're supposed to be used for? Not in heavily muslim populated areas. This is a politically correct outrage. And this made me laugh. Submarines off the coast of Broward County. Of course if the periscope turns out not to be from our navy, maybe it isn't too funny. Strip clubs applying for BP funds. The logic is impeccable. How can BP not pay? Mass poisonings. Not from BP either, but possibly from your water. SATURDAY JUNE 19, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Trivia answers and Bumper Stumpers are up (under Trivia and Music to your left). Have a terrific father's day weekend. I'll be back Monday night with plenty of reasons to be depressed but don't give it a thought until then. FRIDAY JUNE 18, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Trivia tonight, 3 big hours. Do call! The Feds have given Arizona 1.25 million dollars. Not for problems with illegals, crime, kidnapping or many other things that plague the state. For building bridges for squirrels to use. I had hoped that included those of a political stripe, but it turns out it's a specific squirrel. Arizona will take the money. If they don't, the Feds will add it to their funds to fight the state's immigration stance. What do the cops in Maryland have to hide? They're prosecuting a motorcyclist who recorded a traffic stop under a wiretapping violation. Shouldn't it be presumed that anything on a city street is presumed not to be private? If not, how can they justify red light cameras? This is scary. Honest officers would welcome their actions being preserved. Here's a natural born American who can't come home. He went to Cairo and now he's on the no-fly list. You'd think the FBI could have resolved this in six weeks. He's still there. Americans trust BP more that Obama to clean up the oil spill. Can you blame them? And that's not to laud BP. Here's word they knew of cracks in the oil well two months before the explosion. Meanwhile, transportation secretary of the Obama administration is spending 1.2 billion on.... walking trails and bike paths?! He claims it's an alternative to driving. Good news on the climate legislation-- it doesn't look like it will pass. Then there's this moron from Oregon, Sen. Markley. Here's his plan. Fortunately there's a snowball's chance of it being implemented. The FCC votes to reconsider broadband regulations. The republicans are wrong on this and Obama's crew is right. Net Neutrality is vital to your internet freedom. And as far as those worried that Obama will take it over, he can do that regardless of this. I also agree with the Supreme Court on this one. You have a right to privacy-- but not regard to your emails on an employer supplied device. Unemployment benefits bill will pas the senate, which is good since some have run out. Nevermind the part about losing the $25 a month weekly supplement-- it's the idea that the Medicare cut rollback only extends to November and therefore it's a savings, that is plain nuts. Here's the deal: Medicare rules require that payments to doctors are slashed every year. And every year, that's put on hold, because the government knows that they're already squeezing doctors on these rates. So each decrease is added to the last decrease and now we're up to a 21% cut-- no way will that happen. So by saying that this bill saves money because the cut only extends through November is nuts. They'll have to renew it then, so why the game? Because it looks good on paper. Many US banks (including Bank of America) want to end free checking-- and they will. From the 'don'tcha hate it when that happens' file. 40 human heads found in a shipment on Southwest Airlines. THURSDAY JUNE 17, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Worst case scenario in the gulf? We'll never stop the oil-- all 200 billion barrels, the well bore is breached and unfixable. Here's that take. Of course those who say the gulf floor will collapse are even predicting worse. Unfortunately no one remotely thinks that this won't be a much bigger disaster than we already think it is. Cuba is bracing for oil to hit it's shores soon. How long before the Law of The Sea treaty is pushed? That's as bad as Obama's climate legislation. It might be worse. BP meanwhile needs some lessons in PR damage control. Don't not call residents of Louisiana "the small people". So where does Obama get the right to tell BP to pony up its money. Since they're a private corporation, what's the deal? Here's one take, but mine is that it's a lot like Mexico telling us what to do with their lawbreaking citizens. They have the goods on why illegals are here-- and they use them. Is it the same thing here. What does Obama know about BP that gives him confidence he can extract all that money? If BP is trashing the gulf, what are we doing in Iraq? Dumping toxic brew on unknowing waste merchants. And what did Rod Blagojevich really do? This report is interesting. It unearths the wire tap transcripts-- but keep reading, it shows that Blago passed the legislation in question without actually getting any money-- at least not before they busted him. Good try House Republicans- but no success in repealing the Obamacare provision that we buy insurance. Here's the story. Here's the Roll Call vote. Health insurers may be worse than you thought-- but not for the reasons you think. Bureaucratic blunders-- over 25% of all claims mishandled at some companies. Why hasn't our economy collapsed? The fed buys our debt. That's part of the reason they don't want to be audited. This will tell you about it, and the plans they have for confiscating the rest of your money. Finally, if you think on any level that Smart Meters are a good thing, you might want to read the posts and info at SmartURcitizens.com. WEDNESDAY JUNE 16, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) I didn't want to be right-- but I was. Here's the text of Obama's speech, you'll read for yourself he's using the BP mess to cajole us into accepting his Cap & Trade legislation-- of course he doesn't call it that. The Republicans call it exploitation. And Brian Sussman, author of Climategate, calls it more. Was Obamcare designed to distribute wealth? One of the major forces behind it, admits it outright. He's a convicted felon and a political consultant-- not an unknown pairing. And he's proud of the duplicity of Obama's plan. Meanwhile, it's just as expected-- private employers will drop private insurance-- so the White House is trying to prohibit it. Either way, it's going to cost employees more-- especially in deductibles. Is Obama a Muslim? The only reason it's a question is he apparently confided that fact to an Egyptian foreign service official. Of course, he'll tell anyone what they want to hear. Proof that Nancy Pelosi doesn't care about your economic pain-- her offices in San Francisco cost tax payers over $18,000 a month. She takes your tax dollars and gives them to--- the government. She's renting from them so talk about your wealth transfer, right into the GAO pockets. The congressman in North Carolina says he's sorry for grabbing the kid by the neck... shows you how high frustrations are on Capitol Hill. Maybe Lt. Col. Lakin's attorneys will be able to get Obama's birth info on the record-- it's a long shot, but this guy is more than willing to testify that Obama wasn't born in Hawaii. Democracy could flat out disappear in Greece, Spain and Portugal soon. Will we be next? Worse yet, given this reality, what choices are there? Don't cut spending, you're toast. Cut spending, it's a revolution. No wonder Massachusetts is trying to limit gun purchases- again. Think you can trust Nickelodeon with your kids? Not with this trash. Never mind the obvious, from a marketing perspective, who thought it was a good idea to take a brand famous for being kid-friendly and make it a parent's nightmare? Someone should hang. Two thirds of British women are bored with their lives. Maybe they should try Nickelodeon. Couldn't resist-- have to include the Jesus statue that was struck by lightning-- and burned to the ground. TUESDAY JUNE 15, 2010 1:01 AM (PT) Really sorry to be right about this, but Obama is using the Gulf oil spill as a way to get his cap & trade bill, the one he calls "Clean Energy," the one that will clean out your bank account and won't do a damn thing for the environment; through the Senate. He'll tell you about it tonight, and if you read it and have a modicum of sense, you'll see through it for the economic danger it is. Call your senators and tell them NO on S,1733 the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act. Kerry & Lieberman sponsored it, no shock there. Barbara Boxer co-sponsored it. No shock there either. The Senate switchboard is 202-224-3121, call. If you want to email (not as effective) here's a link to getting those addresses. You can find out if yours is up for re-election, here. Here's Newsmax' take on Obama's hope, and here's Politico's. And here's Michelle Malkin who realizes that this is not much different from getting the Patriot Act passed, which wasn't written on September 12th. Don't let emotion get in the way of logic and liberty. Meanwhile, Joe Lieberman is up to further no good. He wants to make sure the president can co-opt the internet-- not only techincally, but affecting content providers too-- and he wants to make sure that no one who rats you out can ever be sued. That's the basics. Here's the story. Another NHS horror: Transplant recipient not told about diseased lungs. The 28 year old patient is now dead. Think federal employees are doing a great job? Then you'll be delighted to know they just got half a billion in bonuses. That doesn't include defense, justice or any of the alphabet agencies (i.e. FBI, CIA). And from the banking industry (and other private predators): here are the 15 most hated "fees". Bet one will have your blood boiling. SATURDAY JUNE 12, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Trivia answers and Bumper Stumpers are up under Trivia and Music to your left. The show will stream all weekend and be available for download at MyStreamingServer.com. Enjoy the weekend. There'll be plenty to depress you by Monday and I'll have it all. FRIDAY JUNE 11, 2010 4:00 AM (PT) Trivia tonight-- 3 big hours starting at 7 (PT). Please call! In the future when the talk in America turns to its minority population, it's going to mean white folks of european descent. That's already the case in a few states and several counties (including one in suburban Atlanta). Here's the latest. And the latest on Obama-- a former Hawaii state employee says he knows Obama was not born there--and so do other state employees. Here's more on the big coverup And for more on the BP spill-- we wouldn't take help from the Dutch before-- now we will. If anyone thought Bush handled Katrina badly, Obama bests him with BP Use a wireless mic? Well if it's on 700 mhz, it's illegal as of Sunday. There's gonna be a lot of preachers breaking the law, since many of them haven't yet updated. The government insists there'll be a crackdown. I hope they capture it on video. God knows they've got the cameras for it. Here's one in use already that is better than HD with a 360 view. Homeland Security is planning more. They can keep tabs on us, but the government doesn't know how many military members are on anti-depressants? They don't want to know. Hospitalized Britons won't want to know this either-- after hours and on weekends, the chance of seeing a doctor is nil. An intern, yes. Doctor no. And that promise to have emergency room patients seen within FOUR hours? Rescinded. You'll have to wait longer. Here are 50 bizarre laws in the US. Go ahead and laugh, but remember since they're on the books, they can be invoked and if for some reason someone in authority wanted you in jail, they've probably got the laws to get you there already on the books. THURSDAY JUNE 10, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Think you're not hearing what's happening with the oil spill in the gulf? This will prove it. According to a documentary filmmaker, anyone with a camera is threatened with arrest if they use it, and everyone there is threatened to talk. The worst of the spill might be the loss of drilling-- the business decisions made because of the temporary prohibition might make it very long time before anyone is in the neighborhood doing anything. The EPA banned the most toxic chemical dispersants- but BP used them anyway. According to a local politician, BP has been lying since day one. iPads have become iLeaks, after an important one went missing in a bar with information on more luminaries than you can imagine. You won't have to imagine- here are the details. Net Neutrality may happen in spite of Comcast wanting to stop it and the government wanting to enforce it. It would be good news if that was the result of this committee. Obama deceives the people. You knew that, but none other than Daniel Ellsberg is saying it. He dams him six ways to Sunday-- and then says he'd vote for him again. He'd vote for anyone that isn't a republican. Even still, this is enlightening as to what a big supporter thinks of Obama now. The White House says organized labor shouldn't have concentrated on defeating Blanche Lincoln (they didn't succeed), that they should have spread the money around to other aministration backed candidates. The AFL-CIO rightly says: labor isn't an arm of the democratic party. Here's more on how Tuesday's primaries turned out. While the government attacks us for the energy we use, they're attacking the Amish for not using enough. Or so this seems. Movie goer? Those 3-D glasses they give you aren't sanitized. It might not matter but you might want to know it. JUNE 9, 2010 2:00 AM (PT) Advice from an investment banker: buy guns and barbed wire. Yes, that's how bad this guy thinks it will get. And it may, particularly if the 8 million shadow homes that aren't on the market surface-- the ones that banks hold but haven't tried to market. No wonder people are eating themselves into a larger clothing size. It's not your job that's making you fat, it's stress-- no surprise here. Judicial watch uncovers the 76 incursions the Mexican military has made on American soil-- 50 in 2008 alone. It's one thing for citizens to sneak in, but the Mexican military?! And Mexico is quick to blame border patrol agents for shooting a teen. When you read this story, you'll see why it happened. Deepwater Horizon: Florida's Sen. Nelson confirms the wellbore is pierced and it's leaking from multiple places. BP says all the oil will be captured by next week.... an interesting perspective since some researchers think it will never stop. Rig survivors confirm BP cut corners before the spill.. and the Coast Guard is investigating another Gulf oil accident. You'll want to convict this guy-- he's a nurse who posed as a depressed woman online to lure people into suicide pacts. Some of them went through with the act. But he never met them, never provided the means, never did anything but goad them on to kill themselves. He's charged with assisting suicide over the internet... my head spins at the thought of what precedents THIS may set. Meanwhile a surgeon removed the wrong organ and the Florida board of medicine dismissed it as the doc having bad luck. The patient's luck was worse, but he's dead now. Take NSAIDs for Pain? They might increase your risk of stroke and heart attack. Talk about fate-- woman struck and killed by lightning on the mountain top to which her boyfriend brought her to propose. Gotta admire the spirit of this Chinese farmer's eminent domain solution. He fended off developers by using... a cannon. Word is the Blagojevich trial will be a three ring circus. Blago is counting on it. TUESDAY JUNE 8, 2010 2:30 AM (PT) If you missed the two hours we spent with Dr. Jerome Corsi last night, you can download the show at MyStreamingServer.com or or catch it on the stream anytime today. If you haven't read Jerry's America for Sale, Why Israel Can't Wait, The Obama Nation or his first work of fiction, The Shroud Codex, click on any of them for a good price from Amazon. Check out his writings at wnd.com and get his Red Alert newsletter. All that will at least forearm you for what's to come. Speaking of what already came, Trivia answers are up under Trivia, Bumper Stumpers are under Music (both to your left). If you missed Friday's show because I didn't make it available as a download, I've done that now, and it too is at MyStreamingServer.com. BP's getting sued. You knew that, but what will hopefully be interesting are the discovery motions. Already eye witnesses are talking about the installation manager disgusted with his superiors who made it clear the rig was going to blow up. Obama's approval rating is tanking with Hispanics-- not that they're alone. Everyone who believed his promises are disappointed. Like Rev. Wright. At some point, some of these folks will talk. With any luck Blagojevich will do better than Lt. Col. Lakin is doing at exposing the evidence. Scientists debate whether recessions are good for your health... only if you're getting paid to study idiot questions like this. FRIDAY JUNE 4, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) Good news! Trivia tonight, three big hours. Bad News! Lt. Col. Terry Lakin won't get to raise the Obama citizenship issue in his Army Trial. This explains a lot: Most American's can't name even one Supreme Court Justice. They also think the Civil War came before the Revolutionary War, believe we're a democracy, and think "From each according to his ability to each according to his needs" was said by either Thomas Paine, George Washington or President Obama. Karl Marx didn't cross their minds. Here's the bad news. If our search queries on Google are any indication, we're in deep deep trouble. Why is the sky blue? Why is my poop green? Read the rest yourself. And take a look at the 16 most WTF banned books here. Will BPs risky move pay off? Hard to tell at this writing. Goldman Sachs dumped a quarter of a billion dollars of BP stock before the spill-- but before you go thinking it's a big deal, this was over a quarter and for a trading company that big, it's not what it may seem. Then again... you decide. Think the EPA will help you? Finally after too many years they might help this community. It's not called "Toxic Town" for nothing. Will the White House use executive privilege to withhold Elena Kagan documents? Could be, but they'll blame it on Clinton. 5 things to watch that will shape tomorrow's internet. Dr. Paul Craig Roberts says the USA is a failed state. His logic is good. THURSDAY JUNE 3, 2010 12:01 AM (PT) 12:01 AM It was the third of June another sleepy dusty delta day..... though I gotta say it was a better country back in 1967 when Bobbie Gentry was dropping god only knows what off the Tallahatchie Bridge not all that far from the oil spill actually. ("Ode to Billy Joe" in case that made no sense.) Speaking of the oil spill, I told you it would happen: Obama uses the BP disaster as a reason to pass his climate change (read: Cap & Trade) bill. Here he says it. And here he says we need laws to prevent future spills. Like we didn't have laws in April when this one happened? One college kid is sure she knows what to do about the leak... she can't do any worse than the 'experts' A Michigan state senator has introduced legislation to license journalists and bloggers... but it gets worse. This idiot specializes in constitutional law. OK, to be fair, none of the reports specify which country's constitution he backs. Clearly based on his latest hope, it's not ours. From the "this is too good to be true" file: British Airways has a print campaign touting their new mobile boarding passes. The exemplar in their internal staff magazine distributed throughout Heathrow shows the frequent flyer name: BIN LADEN / OSAMA. Can you say disgruntled employee? I say, a lot of very lax proof readers above him-- or perhaps a lot of disgruntled employees.. not also that the flight date is Hillary Clinton's birthday. (Pat Sajak's too, but I doubt anyone thought of that.) While we're in Britain-- land of no guns. Taxi driver massacres town. Could he have have done this if citizens could own and carry weapons? Here's a bit about him. Everyone's surprised. I can guarantee you this: it wasn't his first inclination, it was the last straw. Gotta watch those quiet ones. WEDNESDAY JUNE 2, 2010 2:01 AM (PT) Census takers may think they have the right to trespass on private property and don't have to leave when asked. And they often think that when police are called, all that will happen is the cops will take the forms and hand them to the resident. It didn't work out that way in Hawaii. Trespasser arrested. Now, the feds want to take the case away from the state. Here's the story. Filmmaker James O'Keefe goes undercover at census office, finds fraud-- and arrogance. A woman in Utah is suing google. Seems her GPS told her to walk down a busy highway with no sidewalks and she did it. What's wrong with this picture? Speaking of GPS, the military relies heavily on it and knows it can't be hacked. And this happens when there's a software conflict. Wanna guess what will happen with a pulse bomb? Janet Napolitano keeps telling us the airport screeners don't invade our privacy.
